Students for Renew is a call for help, rooted in the tenet that one must endeavor to know and understand our world, before he can truly begin to offer real and sustaining aid.

In Quang Tri province, Vietnam, weapons of war continue to injure and kill, as unexploded bombs and land mines are discovered and unwittingly detonated by citizens going about their lives, on land once bitterly contested by warring armies.

Using a combination of approaches, including the work of high school students, and the wider community, our project employs digital media, the web, and networked learning environments to tell the story of Vietnam, The United States and the common history of both nations. Through education we work to inspire community service on a global scale by lending support to Project RENEW, an NGO confronting the legacy of war in Vietnam through restoration and aid.
